After Isabelle passed away, I became close with her father, Christian Caro. When I came to Paris, he would bring me things he found hoping they could better explain Isabelle's childhood. It was kind of like evidence to prove what he was saying was true, though I believe, especially with family, we all have our own version of truth.
One day he brought me Isabelle's journal, written when she was eleven years old. She wrote the entire thing like a novel, full of character descriptions with pages of diaglogue between her and her mother and father. It was almost as if she knew from a young age who she would become. She named this journal, "The Misadventure of Melody".
